2020 so far….

It’s been an interesting year to say the least with plenty of new food and drink bursting onto the scene.

At the start of the year, we went on a discovery mission of low/no alcohol beers and are happy to say that the choice now available is incredible.  Our favourites to keep an eye out for are definitely from the likes of Mikkeller, Krombacher and vandeStreek.  Lagers, pales ales, sours and IPAs, the choice in the low/alc category is now astounding.  As our mum used to tell us – you really don’t need alcohol for a good time!

Outside of reduced alcohol, we have also been hitting the hard stuff in the form of gin, rum, cachaca and vermouth.  The Gimlet has become our ‘go-to’ cocktail of choice and with the famous Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail celebrating 40 years of being trademarked this year, we have been experimenting with a wide range of Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail and food recipes.

The Hungry veg patch is also on fire so expect plenty of courgette, tomato, cucumber, pea and bean recipe come the summer months.
